Not everything is known about sub-atomic structures and even with the 6 quarks theorized: up, down, left, right, strange and charm there still is uncertainty as to the fractional charges. When using the numbers 333 and 666 it is on the basis that the theorized values (as far as all possibilities concerned) -2/3, +2/3, -1/3, and +1/3 are observed as a decimal .333, .666 and then given a value in the hundredths, tenths and ones place. To take it a step further you can rotate the 6 180° (from the 12:00 position to the 6:00 position) which would get you three nines (999). Coincidentally this would be the same as adding 333+666.
